GO TO FRINGE FEST '08

NOW PLAYING:
Exodus

Sun., Aug. 10 @ 12:15 p.m.

In the Q-Box: Daren Taylor

People are starving. Child labor is legal. Religion is Law. Welcome to "Paradise"! A new form of slavery has arisen from the gentrification of America, carried to its logical extreme. Can the children of Paradise escape their fate? Maybe...

Exodus''s playwright, Daren Taylor, steps into this special Fringe-centric Q-Box to answer our always informative, albeit mostly ridiculous, questions.
What's the best thing about Fringe?
The atmosphere and community. Everyone is so helpful and friendly, and everyone wants to make great theatre. We couldn't ask for a better opportunity.

What's the #1 reason people should come see your show?
Because we have the most attractive cast every assembled. No really we do. But seriously, Exodus is an inspirational show that asks the audience, "What do you believe in, and what would you do to keep it?" Think 1984 meets Malcolm X.

Do you have any opening-night rituals?
If I told you...well you know the rest.

What are the craziest performance conditions you've had to work under?
A rooftop in Brooklyn. Please ask.

How did you get involved with the arts?
I'm in the arts? I thought this was accounting. No wonder I'm not getting paid that much.
